The Professor's Perspective on Education
Accounting becomes meaningful and valuable when it is deeply understood rather than treated merely as a collection of rules and information to be memorized. An accounting student should, in addition to specialized knowledge, become familiar with society, real-world business issues, and professional requirements.
From Dr. Noravesh's perspective, the gap between university education and the real business environment is an important issue in professional education. Students should gain practical experience alongside their studies, become familiar with specialized software, strengthen their English language skills, and encounter real professional challenges through internships.
The Professor's Lasting Views
- Students should remain true to themselves and stand up for truth and reality.
- Honesty, integrity, and reliability are among the most important qualities of a graduate.
- Students should compare themselves with the best students in the world, not merely with their classmates and peers.
- Education should not be pursued merely for obtaining a degree; genuine learning should be the primary purpose of university.
- Students should continually evaluate their academic standing against leading universities and academic resources around the world.
- A professor should present reality fairly and prepare students for a healthy and responsible life in society.
- An ideal university should be an institution whose graduates take pride in having studied there and which holds a respected position at the global level.
