New Department Heads Appointed at the Faculty of Industrial Management

The Faculty of Industrial Management and Technology at the College of Management has announced the appointment of new department heads for System Management and Decision Sciences, Production and Operations Management, and Technology and Innovation Management.

Following a vote by department members and a decree issued by Dr. Taher Roshandel Arbatani, Dean of the College of Management, the new appointments are as follows:

• Dr. Mohammadreza Mehregan as Head of the Management Systems and Decision Sciences Department
• Dr. Ali Moqhar as Head of the Production and Operations Management Department
• Dr. Ahmad Jafarnejad as Head of the Technology and Innovation Management Department

Dr. Mehregan and Dr. Moqhar, both full professors of industrial management, succeeded Dr. Mohammadreza Taghizadeh Yazdi, also a full professor of industrial management. Dr. Jafarnejad, a full professor of industrial management, succeeds Dr. Nima Garousi Mokhtarzadeh, an associate professor of industrial management.

These appointments are part of a structural reorganization in which the former Operations Management and Decision Sciences department was divided into two: Production and Operations Management and Management Systems and Decision Sciences. As a result, the Faculty of Industrial Management and Technology is now the first faculty within the College of Management to have four academic departments.
