Department of Information Science and Knowledge

The first Iranian department of information science and science at the University of Tehran with the help of experts and the efforts of Brother Iraj Afshar, director of the renovation project of the University of Tehran Libraries and Iranian Nomenclature, started in the academic year 1345 in the nascent faculty of educational sciences.

Group members include one associate professor and 7 assistant professors.

She currently holds a bachelor's degree in information science and information science, a master's degree in information management, archives, sciences, digital libraries, public libraries and academic libraries, and a Ph.D. Information and data recovery.

Introduction to the field:

With the spread of knowledge and information, the issue of organizing and retrieving them is a very important challenge and this requires the training of information and knowledge professionals. In addition, the importance of preserving valuable works and documents in the country and of organizing them and disseminating them as a historical human memory is very important and requires the training of specialists in the field of archiving. Given the importance of scientific advancement and growth, especially in the current era, the assessment of science and the knowledge of the methods of scientific advancement are of interest, so the scientists in this group specialize in this field.
