The Department of Technology and Information Affairs of the School of Management started its activity in 1989 with three computers. , 37 network switches, 7 hubs, 58 wireless switches, 172 multifunction printers, and multifunction and scanners) is responsible for maintaining, supporting and managing all software and hardware in the faculty and according to the facilities Desirable and capable is one of the largest and most powerful computer service centers among the faculties of the University of Tehran.

Activities of the Office of Technology and Information Affairs:

The services and activities of this office are presented in two main categories, including the following:

  1. Research and educational services

  2. management part; Maintenance and support of ICT faculty

Research and educational services

This section includes 4 computer sites, a language laboratory and an IT center. The activities of the office in these three sections are as follows:

  • Hardware management and maintenance 137 computers in three independent sites (for use by students in three undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs), 21 computers in the IT center and 33 computers in the language laboratory

  • Preparation and installation of general and specialized software for management, accounting and information technology (IT) and updating them with the latest versions

  • Cooperation with software companies to install and use their production software in the field of college education, such as Rahavard Novin software, which is a specialized software in the field of accounting and financial management to use stock exchange and securities information.

  • Repair of all equipment of different sites, IT center and language laboratory

  • Manage and update faculty website information

  • Procurement and relocation of all hardware equipment required for classes; Various faculty meetings and events

  • Tehran University Network Software Support (Automation - Comprehensive Education System - Finance - Research)

  • Stagnant training archive network software support

  • Virtual education support (hardware and software maintenance, communication with the university)

  • Select the student unit on the site and help students when selecting the unit

  •  Delete and add student unit selection on the site

  • Holding virtual tests

  • Providing, installation and commissioning of registration equipment for inputs (PhD, Master, Virtual Master, Bachelor)

  • Development of internet and intranet network in different administrative and educational parts, research of the faculty

  • Support and installation of network setup (Internet) and required software in seminars and defense (PhD, Master)

  • Answering the questions of professors, staff and students (automation - comprehensive education system - finance - research)

  • Procurement of computer parts and types of network equipment and its distribution among applicants (professors, staff and site)

  • Holding educational and research classes for students in the language and IT laboratory

  • Holding applied research classes in language and IT laboratories

  • Holding exams with various EviwsEntrprs and Expert Choice, Matlab, Spss software for students in language and IT laboratories

  • Support and accountability in all educational, administrative and research units as soon as possible

  • Installation of hardware and software sites (PhD, Master, Bachelor, Language Lab and IT

Management, maintenance and support department:

  • Establishing and maintaining communication network (intranet) of the university with the university network through the Informatics Center

  • Establishing and maintaining an Internet network connection between the faculty and the IT center

  • Update all the various equipments and software that are sent to the faculties by the Informatics Center

  • Management and maintenance of Azarakhsh Library Network

  • Management, maintenance, support and repair of all computer equipment of the faculty,

  • Preparation of technical specifications of all hardware and software equipment of different units of the faculty for their purchase, installation and commissioning in the faculty network

  • Hardware and software repair of all computers in the school

  • Design, installation and operation of the network in different parts of the faculty

Review and research, testing and purchase of hardware components (technical):

Internet and intranet support for the entire faculty

Installation and commissioning of servers in the faculty

Installation and commissioning of all types of printers and scanners available in the faculty

Installation, commissioning and connection of various network switches in the faculty

Installation, commissioning and connection of various types of wireless switches in the faculty

Check wireless switches in connection with the Internet

Check the status of the switches used in the faculty

Troubleshoot network and hardware and troubleshoot them

Control and review the communication of the faculty network with the university and eliminate the existing problems and obstacles

Organizing network systems and defining different IPs with different sufferings in the faculty and integrating and regulating them
