The faculty of management was established in 1954 in Tehran University, under the name of “official sciences institute”, due an agreement made between Tehran University and California University for the purpose of training managers for govermental and private organizations, and it began its activities with the co-operation of some American professors. Since 1957, some Iranian professors and experts were appointed for the execution of this faculty and this institute changed its name to “Business and official sciences institute”. With the approval of university council and confirmation of central council of university in 1964-1965, this scientific center continued its educational and research activities under the name of “the faculty of official sciences and Business management”.
